Problem: Budweiser is an iconic staple of American culture, yet it’s unpopular among the younger generations.

Fact: Budweiser makes their beers entirely with wind generated renewable electricity. 

Insight: Young consumers prefer sustainably produced products, but are unaware of Budweiser’s commitment to wind energy. 

Big idea: Create an interactive experience that promotes Budweiser’s wind energy and provides consumers with free beer.

Celebrate Earth Day with a Bud.

On Earth Day, Budweiser will partner with bars around America to spread awareness to their 100% wind powered brew.

How? By giving consumers free beer. There’s a catch. Instead of paying for beer with cash, they’ll pay with wind.

 

At the bar, there’ll be Draft the Future coasters. Flip a coaster to scan a QR code.

Once you’ve scanned the code, you’ll access your virtual beer glass. Blow into the mic of your phone to fill the glass.

 As your virtual glass fills, the wind turbine on the Draft the Future beer tap will begin to spin.
